The Violence Against Women Act, provides protections to survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking in federally covered housing programs. This training will focus on the four forms HUD revised and posted on June 13, 2025 which facilitate the implementation of VAWA.
The four revised forms are:
- HUD-5380 Notice of Occupancy Rights under the Violence Against Women Act
- HUD-5381 Model Emergency Transfer Plan for Victims of Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, or Stalking
- HUD-5382 Certification of Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault or Stalking
- HUD-5383 Emergency Transfer Request for Certain Victims of Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, or Stalking
Throughout this training we will discuss each form’s purpose, when it’s required to be used, specific customization requirements, and best business practices.
In addition, we will discuss a new HUD form, titled HUD 5384 VAWA Emergency Transfer Data Collection Form.
