We will begin this training with a review of whose earned income (employment income) and unearned income counts, as well as what is and isn’t included. The focus of this training will be the methods of calculating earned and unearned income. We will discuss verification of income including, the work number, paystubs and the use of EIV at recertification for HUD purposes. We will also spend time discussing the differences between how MPI calculates for tax credit and HUD purposes. Participants will be expected to practice calculations at the training.
