The Basics of Mold Safety and How to Prevent and Deal with Ice Dams

This session will be useful for property managers, assistant managers and maintenance persons.

The Basics of Mold Safety and How to Prevent and Deal with Ice Dams and the likely Water Intrusion that might follow.

As the winter quickly approaches Property Professionals need to be prepared for the property emergencies that they may be forced to deal with; i.e. Ice dams, Water Intrusion and the possibilities of Mold growth.

In this class we will review basics of identifying potential mold growth and the various ways that management companies might handle the remediation process. We will also discuss how Ice Dams form and how ARS has dealt with removal and emergency services related to damage as well as discussing the insurance process when the losses are large enough to open an insurance claim.

Audience participation and questions will be encouraged.

Brian McGuire (Business Development Manager & External Trainer) and David Dansereau (RI Branch Manager) of ARS Restoration will lead a presentation and technical discussion on the Basics of Mold Safety as well as how to possibly prevent and deal with Ice Dams and the likely Water Intrusion that might follow.
