A respectful workplace is vital for organizational success, though achieving it can be challenging.  This course covers how to foster respect in the workplace.   We will introduce unconscious bias, microaggressions in the workplace, and how these as well as harassment and bullying threaten a respectful workplace.  We will focus on the effect of these on targeted individuals, coworkers, the work environment, and the organization.  In addition, we will discuss the requirements of anti-harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) law, with a focus on sexual harassment. The focus however will be on providing ideas on ways that individuals and organizations can help prevent harassment and bullying and how to respond to this conduct if it occurs.
