In February 2017\, Ruben accepted a new opportunity to serve as the new Director of Resident Services for the Senior Housing Assistance Group (SHAG)\, one of the largest non-profit affordable housing providers in the Puget Sound area. SHAG manages 41 LIHTC communities serving over 5\,000 older-adult households. He previously served for 12 years as a Senor Resident Services Manager at the King County Housing Authority. Mr. Rivera-Jackman was the recipient of the 2011 American Association of Service Coordinators (AASC).

DESCRIPTION:  \nREGISTER HERE \nThe Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO) course is a comprehensive program offered by the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) for property management staff in affordable developments\, including LIHTC. It is the only occupancy course that covers the HUD 4350.3 Handbook in its entirety\, with specific handbook references cited in the margins of the course text. \nEach participant will receive a copy of the 4350.3 Handbook at this course. The two and a half day program is composed of occupancy focused instruction. Participants will receive a voucher from their hosting AHMA to take the CPO exam independently on their own at their home office\, or property. Students that successfully pass the exam will receive a CPO certificate and lapel pin. All CPOs will be listed in an online national certification directory.
