It is the only occupancy course that covers the HUD 4350.3 Handbook in its entirety\, with specific handbook references cited in the margins of the course text. \nThe two and a half day program is composed of occupancy focused instruction. Participants will receive a voucher from their hosting AHMA to take the CPO exam independently on their own at their home office\, or property. Students that successfully pass the exam will receive a CPO certificate and lapel pin. All CPOs will be listed in an online national certification directory. The Specialist in Housing Credit Management (SHCM) Certification has been developed by the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) in partnership with The National Apartment Association (NAA) and the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA) especially for management professionals involved with properties developed and operated under the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. The SCHM is designed by management professionals for management professionals to ensure that they have attained the knowledge\, experience and competence required to excel in the housing credit property management industry. \nQ. Why do we need the SHCM Certification? \nA.
