DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE \nThe Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Reauthorization Act of 2013 extended protections against housing discrimination or eviction due to domestic violence\, dating violence\, stalking\, or sexual assault to tenants in federally assisted housing. In 2016\, HUD issued the final rule in relation to the VAWA reauthorization which further outlined the responsibilities of housing providers. Additionally\, in 2013 the Commonwealth of Massachusetts passed An Act Relative to Housing Rights for Victims of Domestic Violence\, Rape\, Sexual Assault and Stalking which provides housing protections to all tenants in the Commonwealth. This course will outline the differences between the protections provided by VAWA and those provided by the state law\, and discuss documentation requirements and other practical issues. DESCRIPTION:  \nREGISTER TODAY!! \nONLY TIME BEING OFFERED IN NEW ENGLAND IN 2018!  REGISTER TODAY!\n\nThe Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO) course is a comprehensive program offered by the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) for property management staff in affordable developments\, including LIHTC. It is the only occupancy course that covers the HUD 4350.3 Handbook in its entirety\, with specific handbook references cited in the margins of the course text. \nEach participant will receive a copy of the 4350.3 Handbook at this course. The two and a half day program is composed of occupancy focused instruction. Participants will receive a voucher from their hosting AHMA to take the CPO exam independently on their own at their home office\, or property. Students that successfully pass the exam will receive a CPO certificate and lapel pin. All CPOs will be listed in an online national certification directory. Additionally\, we will discuss format requirements for MAT records and introduce MAT Header records. \nIn part two of our series\, we will discuss the different MAT record types in detail as well as review MAT error messages to teach users how to resolve TRACS errors.
