She has trained Fair Housing\, HOME\, tax credit and organization courses throughout the country. She has been in the affordable housing industry for more than 28 years and brings a hands-on knowledge to the compliance and management sessions that she leads. Anita serves as a member of NAHA’s SHCM (Specialist in Housing Credit Management) Technical Advisory Committee for the SHCM designation. \nAnita is also Vice President and Broker of Record for Monfric Reality\, Inc.\, (a property management and consulting firm based in Grand Junction\, Colorado) and CEO of Collins Management in Kalispell\, Montana. DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE \n  \nPresenter: Gwen Volk\, GWEN VOLK INFOCUS\, INC.\nHUD’s Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program\, created in 2012\, is having an impact on public housing and HUD’s Rent Supplement\, RAP and Mod Rehab projects. This voluntary “preservation” program is helping to stop the loss of affordable housing. It is also providing new opportunities for experienced affordable housing developers\, managers and agents from the private sector to partner with PHA’s. As of October 2015\, HUD had closed RAD transactions on 189 public housing properties as well as 131 Rent Supplement\, RAP\, and Mod Rehab projects. This transaction converted more than 34\,000 units to a Section 8-style platform. And HUD has to convert another 160\,000 PHA units and all remaining Rent Supplement\, RAP and Mod Rehab units. Learn what RAD is\, how it changes the properties that convert\, and how your skills may be needed in this ambitious\neffort to leverage private capital to preserve assets and offer residents greater choice and mobility.

DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE \nTrainer: Nicole Scott \n  \nThe current version of TRACS\, 202D\, is being upgraded to 203A in order for HUD to accept data from Multifamily Housing (MFH) business partners that complies with updated policies and procedures. \nA webinar is being offered in order to prepare users for the updates that will be made to the TRACS system with TRACS Release 203A. \nThe webinar will cover all updates to MAT Tenant and Voucher/Payment System Record files as well as highlight applicable policy changes (as detailed in the TRACS Release 203A Industry Specifications). \nPlease note that the webinar will not cover the submission process or how these changes appear in various property management software systems; instead this webinar will summarize the substantive changes that will be implemented with TRACS Release 203A.
