COQ Awards

Dear NEAHMA Member:

This letter is to invite you to enter the 2009 Communities of Quality Awards Competition.

This year, as in past years, NEAHMA will be holding its regional Community of Quality Awards Competition with winners to be honored at our annual conference in October to be followed by the NAHMA National Community of Quality Awards Competition.

Your property is eligible to participate in the Community of Quality Awards Competition because it is one of the distinctive properties to have achieved a score of 325 points or higher as a Nationally Recognized Community of Quality. We strongly encourage you to enter this level of awards competition. In order to qualify, your National Community of Quality Recognition must be in current standing and the property has not won this awards competition in the past.

To enter, you will simply need to complete the 2009 Communities of Quality Awards Competition entry form. The brochure explains in detail the steps you need to take to apply. Please pay particular attention to the “Tips on Writing a Compelling Essay”. Since you will be competing against the best in the industry, in addition to the suggestions contained in the brochure it is important that your essay strongly communicate why your property deserves the award and what sets it apart from all others.

Please note, entries must be submitted to NEAHMA by August 26, 2009.

Winners will be recognized at our annual Conference on October 22, 2009. After our conference, we will forward all entries to NAHMA for the National Competition by the November, 2009 deadline.

Please call our Executive Director, Julie Kelliher, at (781) 380-4344 if you have questions. Thank you for your participation and good luck.
